We’re Karen and Eric, and we’ve officially entered the empty nest phase of life! After years of soccer games, school pickups, and the usual chaos, we found ourselves ready for our next adventure.

We previously had a pop-up camper that was a great fit for short camping trips with the family, but we wanted something better suited for longer trips for the two of us. The answer was an Airstream!

Why “SpaceCamper”?

The name comes from two very special connections to space exploration:

First, Karen attended Space Camp not once, but twice! Her fascination with space exploration and adventure has always been part of who she is.

Second, NASA actually used Airstream trailers in the early days of the space program as mobile quarantine facilities for astronauts returning from the Apollo moon missions. Those iconic silver trailers served as temporary homes for our early space heroes – and now one serves as our home for earthbound adventures.

Our Tow Vehicle is a 2021 Ford F250 6.7L PowerStroke Diesel, which does a great job of getting us up and down the Rocky Mountains.
